Palm Beach Sex Therapy

Dr. Althof provides specialized, state-of-the-art, high quality clinical care to individuals and couples who suffer from sexual or relationship problems. He has been in practice for over 35 years and sees couples for consultation, individual and couples treatment.

The sexual problems routinely treated at the Center consist of difficulties with sexual desire, arousal, erection, ejaculation (premature and delayed), orgasm (infrequent or absent) and genital pain. We also see men and women who struggle with sexual orientation, paraphilia and socially problematic sexual interests and behaviors.

Couple Counseling

Relationship problems commonly brought to the Center include managing the fallout of extra-relationship affairs/infidelity, falling out of love, power struggles, coming to terms with separation and divorce and failing to find new solutions to long-standing repetitive arguments.

With his patients permission, Dr. Althof collaborates with urologists, family doctors, gynecologists and internists to discuss his patient's mental health issues and concerns regarding the psychological and physical effects of illness, medication and surgery.

Fee Structure

The fee for evaluation, consultation and/or ongoing psychotherapy is $250 per session. Fees are payable at the time of each visit. Drs. Althof does NOT participate in any insurance plans. However, he will provide you with an insurance form (HICVA) to submit to your insurance company for "out of network" benefits. Prior to your first visit, you should determine what benefits might be available to you. Special payment arrangements may occasionally be made. If you have any questions about these the financial arrangements, please discuss them with Dr. Althof.
